SPN - 8.04 (Bitten)

First impressions:
Of the two shows that have been shot like this (told through the lens of a video), I like "Ghostfacers" better. Could be because I liked "Ghost Hunters." Could be because I currently have a little person inside my head trying to shove one of my eyeballs out of its socket. Could be because that had more clever writing with more Sam and Dean. Could be because as goofy as the Ghostfacers were, I kinda liked them, whereas I really couldn't get invested in these kids.
At any rate, I'm going to have to watch it again to catch the little bits and pieces of Sam and Dean's exchanges. (Dean ordering 2 burgers. Bwah!)
And it's very interesting (especially in light of something I skimmed about next week's ep, as well as the preview for next week's ep) that Dean is so nonchalant about letting Kate(?) go. I mean, in the past he's let go monsters who haven't killed yet, so that's not so unheard of. But he was so . . . chill . . . with it. And I rather appreciated Sam's saying that if she pops up on the radar killing, they'd put her down, like he was reassuring the hunter in Dean.
But next week's ep? That is going to provide some chewy stuff to gnaw on. "I drink blood. I don't drink people." And you know? For the past 50 years for Benny, that would have been true. And who knows how long or shortly after turning Benny got ganked. I was thinking that even with Dean knowing what the cure for vampirism is, it wouldn't work for Benny because he's probably already fed, but . . . maybe not.
Or maybe it's all a ploy to lullme Dean into a false sense of security.
At any rate, really looking forward to next week's ep.
This week's ep, though? At first blush, I'm not really impressed.
Gonna go to bed now and try to sleep off this headache that is now giving me a queasy stomach. Meh.
