This is a conversation that I wish we could have heard on the show. I think they're too afraid that doing this type of thing will make SPN into a family drama or maybe soap opera, but I think that on a genre show you still need characters that you care about. A hero isn't a real hero unless he/she has vulnerabilities. Even Superman has kryptonite. And certainly over the years, Dean and Sam have had some very soapy conversations. But it's why we love them. Otherwise, we could just go watch shows full of car chases and explosions and gore.
