Random Dr. Who moment

One of my very favorite Dr. Who moments is with the 10th Doctor, when he and Rose return at the time of Queen Elizabeth's coronation. I don't know how the conversation gets started, but the Doctor expresses his delight at the inventiveness of the human race for inventing edible ball bearings (nonpareils, of course). In all the universe no one else has even thought of edible ball bearings. Genius!

Or something like that.

He expresses his delight at both the beginning and the end of the ep, and it's one of my favorite parts of said ep. I do wish I had access to the ep (Geo has packed away the discs we burned. And what's the point of that? Of burning a copy of the show, then promptly packing it away where you can't find it?), because I'd love to re-watch said parts, just for a chuckle.

I'm thinking a related icon might be good for food and cooking-related posts, but alas, I have no icon-making talents, and as I'm cheap and on a free LJ account, I must be circumspect in my icon usage. Still, if anyone is bored and feels like giving it a go . . . :-)

Actually, that was "Fear Her", when they went to the 2012 London Olympics. ::is a geek:: Great part, though, isn't it? I love how the Doctor is fascinated by the sillest passing things.

If I knew how to make good icons, I would make you one, but, alas, I don't.

Yes, I stand corrected. The coronation one was when they were going to go see Elvis on "The Ed Sullivan Show" and people were getting sucked into TVs, yes? This one was the one where people were getting sucked into drawings. Am I sensing a theme here?

Yes, it is a fantastic part. Brilliant!

And thank you for the icon offer, even if you can't follow through. :-)
