RL goings on

As those of you who have been here a while know, Geo and I have been waiting for an adoption placement. Well, one came through rather suddenly on January 31.
We found out about the placement on Jan. 21 and gave our verbal okey dokey on Jan. 24, but it wasn't until Friday that we were given permission to go see him in the hospital. And then it became more than a visit; it became a discharge!
We've got great friends who have shopped for us, fed us, and loaned us things for Baby. I haven't really had the time, energy, or inclination to pay much attention to anything else. (Hence my late post on last week's ep.)
When I have an undistracted moment, I'll fill you all in on how things went down. Suffice to say that this is a secure placement, and this little guy is ours. :-) \o/
And you might or might not be hearing my opinion of Show in coming weeks. :-)

Also, you've crossed my mind a few times since the Olympics began. :-) Things are very exciting over there? Or only in Sochi, and the rest of the country is going about their business?

Well, it depends on the group of people. Some are excited about the games and some are grumpy about too much money spent and stolen.
I've read comments that people around the world really liked the Opening so at least that was good for everyone :)

I'll be calling him Baby J here in my LJ. (Which makes me realize I should probably clarify: we did not name him after a certain actor who has received a lot of attention in this journal. :) )

I'll probably still talk about show from time to time. In fact, the most recent ep has left me with thoughts. I'll try to get them put together at some point (when I'm not washing bottles, doing baby laundry, or trying to sleep when Baby J sleeps. :) )
