Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends! (And to my non-American friends, may you have a blessed and thanks-filled day just the same.)
As I made mention earlier, I'm home with family right now, and it's so very nice. Today will be spent with Geo's fam. Then on Saturday, Little Bro and SiL are hosting a day of leftovers and my side of the extended family.
I'd also like to thank the generous f-listie who gifted me this morning with one of my Christmas wish list items (and by default, a second item as well). Thank you! *hugs*
Yesterday I went to the PAC and visited with the box office ladies and a couple ladies over on the educational side of the theater. My Threepenny Opera director was in her office, and I wish I could be greeted like that all the time. She was sitting at her desk, back to the door, reading her computer. I leaned in and said "Congratulations" (she's recently married), and (in one continuous motion) she screamed and turned around and screamed at me and leapt out of her chair. Something along the lines of "Oh, my God! Felicia! Oh, my God! Oh, my God!" and gave me a tight hug. It was hilarious. She apparently had just that moment been thinking about me. She was reminiscing about Threepenny, and then I popped into her office. "I willed you into this office," she said. It was hilarious.
It was so good to see the folks I did yesterday. The tech crew and my old boss weren't there (they take off just as fast as they can for Thanksgiving because the Christmas schedule becomes insane when they get back). I miss them.
Someday, I'll write about how my fannishness is genetic. In the meantime, I showed my mom "Monster Movie." I believe she was amused. And she's definitely a Jensen girl. "He's got cheekbones," she says. (She's always impressed when someone has good bone structure.) "He's very easy to look at." Um, yeah, Mom. I noticed. :-) About Jared, she says, "He's really tall. How tall is he?" And she was inquiring as to their ages. Hee. She's also expressed an interest in seeing the re-run of the season premiere. So that's probably what we'll be watching tonight. Then tomorrow night I'll share The Christmas Cottage with her.
So a Happy Thanksgiving to all. May you have all the pumpkin pie you want, but not more than you need.
