Preemptive strike: Spoiler policy.
I'm not scolding anyone. This is just a preemptive strike.
I am allergic to spoilers. If I don't mention as knowing it, assume I don't know it, and please don't say anything.
I did not recognize a certain guest character in the recently posted clip. Maybe I should have--in fact, yeah. She was right there in front of me. Duh--but I didn't.
In this particular instance, it was a matter of misunderstanding and miscommunication. It was assumed I picked up on something in the trailer that I didn't because I was so freaked out about something else entirely.
I just wanted to point out that I am adverse to spoilers.
You might also notice that from time to time, I'll put what once upon a time was called "spoiler space" in my comments. This alerts the person that there are potential spoilers in the comment, since we can't put spoiler cuts in comments.
If I run across a spoiler in someone else's LJ, that's my own fault for reading. However, if I find spoilers in the comment threads of my own LJ, I'm going to be sorely disappointed.
So, please. I've never had to come up with official policies for anything before. Just be aware.
Thank you, and have a nice day.

(I would've asked you the same question I asked kimmer if I'd watched the trailer with you over the phone, and we would've figured it out, so....)

So I freaked, because I totally didn't need to know that Sam was snogging who I though you all were referring to.
Then I rewatched the clip and figured out that you all were talking about the gal at the beginning of the clip, whom I didn't recognize, but isn't as big a freak-out factor as if she'd been the co-snogger in the Sam scene.
Does that make sense?
*fails at fandom*
*will now go curl up in corner*

Sorry; I didn't mean to sound harsh, I was just really, really confused and feeling guilty and feeling that I didn't need to feel guilty and.... Yeah. Sorry!
I need to scrounge Amanda compy and watch this with sound....

EXACTLY! Hence my freak-out. Because I totally Do Not Want to be spoiled for Sam snogging Tessa.
(Hey, should we start that rumor going 'round?)

It's okay, darling, we can fail at fandom together. *runs off to poke said fandom with a stick*

That we know of.
*eyebrow quirk*
And truly, I wasn't paying attention (obviously) to who was saying "The angels have something good for you, Dean" (or whatever the line was) so much as I was what she was saying.
My thought process about the girl went something like: Okay, who is she? Another angel? Are we getting another angel? Do I know--
"Stop lying to yourself." What? WHAT????
Ooh! Castiel!
Eck. Anna. Nonono! They're bringing Anna back! Ack! Angel juice!
Ack! Castiel! Don't!
Waitwaitwait! Dean is torturing demons? Ack!!!! Wait. But he knows how to do this. He spent time learing from them. So, this isn't as bad as it looks, right? RIGHT?????
"He's doing God's work." Well, this is war. And if the body is dead, (which it is, right? RIGHT??????) the demons are fair game. Right?
Sam! Sam! Sam! Stay away from Ruby!
Wait! I can't keep up with the clips!
Dean in the hospital!
Ack!!!!!
Then when a couple people on a couple different threads in a couple different journals went "That wasn't Ruby," my mind immediately went to the snogging, becauase of course the first gal wasn't Ruby (though it hadn't clicked with me who she was. Just pretty and talking about angels and then more important things got my attention). And the only time "Ruby" showed up in the clip was snogging Sam, and if that wasn't Ruby, it was Tessa, I don't want to know yet! *spoilerphobe freak-out*
Also, as far as I'm concerned, they could probably save themselves the text because I don't read it until the second or third go-through. And in this particular one, the text doesn't exactly make me happy.
As I stated before, I fail at fandom.
Otoh, my journal has never been so busy with the comments.

Text? What text you be speaking of?

First text slide: When good fails
Second slide: Evil must be met
Third slide: With a greater evil
The first slide makes me really twitchy, and none of this sits well with me. Because while I can go along with the concept of Dean putting the hurt on demons, I'm not sure I like what all of this is implying.
I also caught glimpses of "Alaistair" (and that's what I'm going to call him until we get confirmation otherwise) holding Tessa at scythe-point.
This could just be all kinds of cool, or it could fall apart.
*bites nails*
So what did you think of TIH? You gonna make a post?

I don't know how Kripke & Co. can plot things out in these final eps without knowing if they're coming back, especially at this stage of the game when the stakes are so high on Show.
As for TIH, I enjoyed it. In fact I'm listening to the commentary as we speak. I have to head out in a bit, but will likely post my ramblings later today.
