Sorry for the delayed reply.

I don't think Dean was implying that Chrissy should have known better. Rather, his tone reads to me that he's trying to impress the gravity of the situation on her. She should have followed his orders and should have stayed put. Which is, I believe, exactly what John would have told Dean at that age.
