It was my first visit, too. We did walk after lunch from Chinatown to Ground Zero and from there to Battery Park and Liberty Island. Then we took the subway (the wrong one at first--corrected with a cross connecting line) to Times Square. We were staying over in Secaucus, so we headed back after that, but it was cool to come up out of the subway to see Times Square after dark.
