YES. What you are getting at has crossed my mind also. Perhaps Dean IS an Alpha HUNTER (-or heir to the throne?). Wouldn't that be all kinds of awesome? It might also explain why the alpha vamp zapped all his little vamps to sleep, and Dean had crazy visions. I like this idea a hell of a lot.
