It looks like Robert Singer is still with the show and acting as producer. (And staying on as co-showrunner, it sounds like.)

Vague, intention-oriented spoilers. Most of it I think everyone knows already, though.

Otoh, Kripke as a safety net? Please, Sera, don't fall.

I'd be much more inclined to think of Bob Singer (with his bazillion years of TV experience) as the safety net. I think he's the one who understands focused, intimate stories about people. I believe his input is one of the reasons I always enjoyed "Lois & Clark" so much.

On the fence sbout him. I like the dude and in previous seasons he was good but this last season his eps were among i hated the most. It could be not his fault though but the writers so let's see what he'll bring to the show on his own.

Kripke as a consultant is one of the reasons I am eyeing the anime with suspicion - even though what drew me to SPN in the first place was the fact that it sounded like an anime.

After the nastiness of the comic series, I don't have much faith in Kripke's vision.
