The fannish state of me
May. 24th, 2010 08:46 amI had planned to post this last week, to work through some depression and all. Then
girlyghoul70 sent me that hilarious piccie. And I had a very good weekend. So I'm feeling much better (though still very sleepy from my current meds).
But I want to share what's up, because now that we've had the season finale, which for all intents and purposes was the end of the five-year arc, it would seem I'm approaching the summer a bit differently.

Fic-ish ponderings (spoiler warning)
May. 21st, 2010 08:46 amYeah, it's a spammy morning.
( I'll keep it behind the cut )
In light of the statement that SPN will, in fact, finish up the apocalypse storyline this season, and the show has been renewed for another 22 episodes, this begs the question: Sam and Dean Winchester, you've saved the world from Armageddon. What are you going to do now?
Here, then, are the ideas that
izhilzha and I have come up with to submit to Kripke Sera Gamble.
( S6: Everything we've wanted to see, but Show hasn't gotten around to yet )

This is why I don't do spoilers . . .
Aug. 26th, 2009 10:59 amYes, my laptop is turned off and getting ready to be put away. I'm at the big computer. :-)
I started to read a TV Guide article that my mom sent, and I couldn't finish it. I am really disappointed--like, phenomenally disappointed--with the direction said article indicates SPN is going to take things this season.

Dear Kripke & Co.:
Jun. 10th, 2009 05:37 pmFor S5, may I please have a flashback ep that delves into one of Dean's solo hunts? Canonically, we only know of the one in New Orleans just prior to the Pilot. But, you know, Sam was gone anywhere from 2 to 4 years (depending on which episode you reference), so there's plenty of wiggle room there.
Ideally, Jensen would still play Dean, but I understand that this could be problematic because A) Jensen has changed somewhat from young Dean to now (not to the extent that Jared has matured--oy!--but still, I can understand where Jensen might not be able to play his younger self. Otoh, Jensen is an amazing actor, so I wouldn't really put it past him); and B) I know Jensen appreciates the time off that a flashback ep involving Young!Dean provides. So, ya know, I understand.
Still, it is a topic that has been richly explored in fic, and I know how you love servicing the fans, right?
Oh, and speaking of New Orleans, if you could do an ep (with current Sam and Dean, i.e., Jared and Jensen) set in New Orleans, preferably during Mardi Gras, that would be awesome.
In hopeful expectation,
Me

Half-baked theory
May. 4th, 2009 09:39 amI'm hoping to get my review up today, sometime after work. There is much chewy goodness going on, particularly from my way of looking at the story. Anyway . . .

SPN - "Sex and Violence"
Feb. 6th, 2009 05:39 pmYou know? I'm still trying to assimilate all the squeeful goodness of last night's ep. I baked molasses cookies before the show came on, and I've still got some left, so take a couple cookies, grab your favorite beverage, and pull up a chair. This might take a while.

Questions for the F-List (re: Castiel)
Sep. 21st, 2008 08:20 amI admit. I do not actively seek out meta. In some cases, it's because I don't want people squelching my squee (for the record, while "harsh my squee" is indeed descriptive, it lacks alliteration *g*), in others, *looks pointedly in dodger winslow's direction* it's because the meta makes so friggin' much sense from a storytelling POV that it feels like spoilers.
That said, I've read a few things on the LJs of my f-list, and I've got some
( questions and comments regarding Castiel )
And now my brain hurts.
It's time to direct my attention to real spiritual matters anyway.
I'll probably be back later with more of our adventures in church music.

A SPN observation
Feb. 15th, 2008 07:23 pmIndeed, Sam has had better days than the repetitive Tuesday of "Mystery Spot."
I noticed something during the montage of post-Dean militaristic OCD Sam.
( Did you notice . . . )
Thoughts?
izhilzha, if you want to link to this or borrow it for your own LJ for discussion, have at.
